Hey guys. So, as I was writing the blog post for Joya Jewellery on sustainable jewellery, it got me thinking about what sustainable business actually is.

 

I think a lot of people associate it with businesses that solve climate change or other environmental related issues. I think they're all great causes but I think, sustainable business is so much more than that.

 

I think you can really summarise it as businesses that team up with their customers to solve the big issues. So, for example, like what we do here at Joya Jewellery trying to solve human trafficking, through donating 20% of our profits to rescue girls from human traffickers.

 

I think it's through supporting businesses like that, like Joya Jewellery or Thankyou water or other similar businesses (social enterprises) that we can really make a huge difference.

 

And I thought, as Christmas is coming up, we really have an opportunity to choose to shop at places that make a difference. I guess, that's the whole point of this video. I would love it if you guys would share with us in the comment section below some of your favourite sustainable businesses so that we can all benefit by knowing about these businesses and choosing to shop at businesses like them.
